Apple iMac

Apple inserts all the new features into the iMac, making it keep up with 2017 standards. The computer runs at a fast speed, making it comparable against some of Windows’s newest models. Its display remains top-notch. The iMac has been in the leaderboard for years and have been holding it till now. Although some features were not as good as before , but it remains a good model.

But for gamers, I suggest you don’t get the iMac as although the trending games still appears there, but it is either released later or its game graphics are not tip top.

Its ports and the SD port at the back causes inconvenience to the user too.

For those people that has the old iMac, do not worry. Some features still will be updated. It still serves as a excellent choice for people who bought years ago.

Another feature of the iMac is its color accuracy. It has been named a “palette” for a reason. Its accuracy can dig deep into every color, finding out every single color, making the iMac like a “palette”, having an assortment of colors.

For people that wants a bigger storage space for their computer, it can be upgraded by paying a little more. The price of the iMac is $1800. For patient people, they can wait for the iMac Pro with bigger bumps. For impatient people, they can upgrade their computer by adding $900 for a better core, memory and model.

Overall I think this computer is worthwhile the deal. But although new specs are introduced, Windows are still trying to catch up. Still, if you want a good computer that serves other purposes besides gaming, such as work, this is just the right thing for you.

Acer Switch 7

It is a detachable laptop that can be clipped on magnetically and also has a built in kickstand. It also allows the computer to run smoothly without the help of cooling fans which means the computer is cooled down without any sound. With a 16 GB ram, it allows the computer to run at a fast speed. The product comes in a set with a detachable keyboard, keyboard cover and a touch pen. However , the tablet is heavy and hence makes the tablet difficult to carry , especially for people that are working.

The kickstand can be activated easily in almost every flat surface. It has 2 built in buttons below the tablet so that when it is in contact with the surface, the button will be pushed and the kickstand will open. The kickstand can also be retracted easily. The tablet may also overheat when you run high quality games like Fortnite.

Just like any other tablets, the power button is also very small, so it is hard to find it. Its storage space is relatively big, just like any other tablets. Its resolution is good for running games like Fallout 4. It still uses the old cylindrical hole to charge. But it has a USB drive to connect devices and mouse to it. However, it only has one as it is a tablet and does not need much. On the contrary, the tablet is expensive. It costs $1699. Other computers can run games at the same resolution at a cheaper price.

In general, I feel that this computer is very good, almost without any flaws. I would give it a 9/10 if I were to rate it. Besides the fact that it is expensive and it is hard to carry around, it is very good in any other areas, especially its kickstand. For users that are addicted to games and want to play it outside, this is suitable for you.

Quick Fire Rapid-i

The Quick Fire Rapid-i is a keyboard designed for mostly gaming by Cooler Master Storm. The keyboard aims to give the most pleasant gaming experience with almost no lag at all. The Quick Fire Rapid-i uses Cherry MX Blue, Brown, Red switches (depending on which model you purchase) which is able to respond to and recover from any button mashing with no time wasted.

The keyboard is also fairly light at only 932g which is convenient if travel is necessary. It is also small in size with the dimensions of 359 x 138 x 39 mm, so if you are trying to save space, this compact keyboard would be your choice. The keyboard doesn’t come with a number pad so it could be of an annoyance to some people.

The keyboard is also backlit so if you’re in a dark environment or have trouble searching for keys, this would prove useful to you. The brightness of the lights can be adjusted from being blaring lights to it being almost non-existent. Other customisations can be done like the light would stay solid, pulsate or only light up when striking the keys. However, some of the pulsating lights options could prove irritating.

The kickstands at the back of the keyboard do keep it at a very comfortable angle. The keyboard does not come with much unique features. You’re able to set up different profiles but since the keyboard does not come with macro features, the profiling only changes the lighting of the keys.

In conclusion, the Quick Fire Rapid-i is a gaming keyboard designed for people who are short on space but still provide excellent gaming performance. The keyboard is priced at around S$150 which is an average price for a decent gaming keyboard. Thus, I would only recommend this keyboard to people who are short on space and would not mind missing features like the number pad.
