LG G8 ThinQ

The LG G8 ThinQ was just released in February this year. It is LG’s newest phone. Of course, like any phones, it has it’s own advantages and disadvantages. Let’s talk about it’s advantages first.

The phone’s front facing camera can recognise the veins in your palms to unlock the phone(if you have set a password for the phone), and uses the same camera to respond to your hand gestures. Those hand gestures can be used to adjust the volume of your phone just by twisting your hand or just by waving your palm, you can dismiss your alarm. The LG company put a vibrator behind the OLED display of the phone. It amplifies the sound so you can hear the voice on the other end of the line no matter where your ear is, which is good as you do not need to position your ear to where the speaker is. The phone’s night view, which helps you in taking photos at night as it will look more natural.

Now, let us talk about it’s disadvantages. The phone’s price is far too expensive, costing at $819 according to LG. The LG’s camera’s portrait mode is bad as it can’t seem to tell where the subject ends and the background begins and ends.

In conclucsion, though this phone has it’s own advantages, it is far too expensive compared to other phones like the Oppo R17 so you should consider before buying it.

LG V40 ThinQ

Often, LG phones would be placed around third to fifth place and compared to the iPhone and Galaxy brands. But with the LG V40 ThinQ, this Korean tech company has made its first mainstream phone to have five (yes, five) camera lenses dedicated to taking better, more creative photos than the iPhone XS Max or Galaxy Note 9. With three on its rear side and two on its front.

So should you buy the V40 just for its camera? It’s definitely worth considering if you see yourself using the wide-angle lens often. As with the V40 three rear camera, they allow you to take clear and pretty wide-angle pictures which would really impress your friends if you are taking welfies with them. What are wide-angle pictures? Well, they are taking expansive photos with a wide field of view, and fitting lots of content in each frame. It’s a signature feature in many LG phones, and the company has been iterating and improving on it for years.

The LG V40 thinQ also has one of the most important item in a premium phone that people want, and that is the headphone jack. The V40 is also only USD$900 and that is already $100 cheaper than the iPhone X and Galaxy Note 9. If you want to save some money you could always go for the V40.

But if you have a V30 with you, i would not recommend you to get the V40 as there is not much difference between these two phones if you do not need all of those camera features in the V40. While there are many phones with dual-rear camera, the V40 has a rarity of five and you would ask “what for?”

Its rear camera setup includes a standard lens with optical image stabilization, a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens with 2x zoom that takes dramatic, bokeh-style portraits. LG also loaded the camera with a bunch of lighting tools for portrait photos, nearly identical to the ones on the latest iPhones, which adds a studio-like quality to your pictures.

Photo quality on the V40 is awesome and excellent, pictures that are taken in brightly lit settings will be sharp and vibrant. While for low-light settings, the V40 would easily brighten the surrounding and capture the follow objects there.

Overall, i feel that the LG V40’s five cameras give you a variety of photography options. The phone has a 6.4-inch screen, but is still comfortable to hold. It’s water resistant, has expandable memory and a headphone jack. But its battery life is average and not really amazing to me for its price.

LG V30

The LG V30, a phone that made everything possible. It has the best-sounding smartphone that’s ever been made, and it also has LG’s finest industrial design to date. The LG V30 is distinctive, modern, and stacked with desirable features, a phone seemingly destined for inevitable stardom. A awesome device with great performance, long battery life, an amazing camera and a headphone jack. And is also has water resistance, wireless charging, micro SD expandable storage and support for any cellular carrier too, awesome right?

Image result for lg v30

Until now, i really thought that the above can only be possible by Samsung’s Note 8 and s8 but the LG V30 surprise me by having all these functions, and so Samsung might just have another rival. Though it is not cheap, it has a sleek, durable handset, a new OLED screen, thinner build, improved dual cameras and a quad digital-to-analog audio converter built into the headphone jack, LG’s has just made it as both a luxury phone and a content creator’s dream, with particular focus on videographers (who can shoot pro-style Log format video) and so i think its worth the price. Just like the s8, it too, has an unusually tall screen that extends practically all the way to the top and bottom edges and a smooth glass back and a shiny aluminum band like the note 8.

The LG V30’s dual cameras take killer photos. They’re crisp, full of life, and as often as not better than ones took side by side with a Samsung Galaxy s8 Plus, with more detail and less splotchy noise if you zoom in. You can thank the additional megapixels, 16 mega pixel compared to 12 mega pixel and slightly larger lens aperture, f/1.6 compared to f/1.7 for that. In the daytime, the LG’s second wide-angle camera is a special treat, letting you capture more of your surroundings in every frame. You just can’t get these photos with any other phone camera

Overall, i would recommend you to buy LG V30, its worth your money and a real shocker once you get to hold it in your hands.

LG G5

LG G5 is a completely new design of LG’s last year flagship phone LG G4. Now the LG G5 has a full-metal design, which makes it looks the smaller version of Google’s Nexus 6P as LG G5 was downsized to 5.3 inch display instead of 5.5 inch. This makes phone very light and very comfortable to hold in the hand as the phone only weights 159g. The LG G5 is now having a straight design and it is no longer curve like the LG G4.

One major changes of the LG G5 was it’s volume rocker as it is no longer at the back of the phone and it is at left side of the frame. It has 2 rear-facing camera, one is regular 16 megapixel camera and the other one is a 135-degree wide angle 8-megapixel camera and also a 8 megapixel front-facing camera. There is a cool feature of the LG G5 which is located at the bottom frame of the phone.

You can put out the bottom frame sort of like a cartridge which reveals the battery and you can change this but swapping out and inserting in a battery grip with physical camera controls and a Hi-Fi audio module. It has a Micro SD-card slot for expandable storage( up to 2TB) and 4GB ram and Snapdragon 820 processor which should be fast enough to play most of the games and multi-tasking without any problem.

The display is a always-on which leaves minimal information there, like the time, date and notifications. The display has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (554 ppi pixel density) which makes the display looks very sharp and has vibrant colours. LG G5 has a fingerprint scanner, USB-Type C connector with the support of Quick charge 3.0 should charge the battery seriously fast.

It is rocking the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The LG G5 has 4 different colours, Silver, Titan, Pink and Gold. LG said that they will release this phone on the beginning of April 2016 globally. Overall, I will definitely recommend this phone to someone who loves taking picture, fast performance for gaming and multi-tasking, but I hope that it support wireless Quick Charging to make this phone even more premium.
