Huawei Nova 3i Review

If someone is looking to find a wide-screen smartphone with a good and decent camera, the Huawei Nova 3i is a good buy. The front panel of the Huawei Nova 3i features the notch design at the top of the smartphone, with the earpiece embedded between the 24MP + 2MP cameras. The earpiece has two functions. Firstly, to serve as a normal earpiece and secondly, a battery charging indicator. The battery charging indicator earpiece will change in colours depicting the battery level.

The left side of the phone has a dual-SIM card slot while the right has the volume and power button. However, the Huawei Nova 3i does not support a Type-C charger. The dimensions of the smartphone is 157.6 mm × 75.2 mm × 7.6 mm while the weight of it is roughly 169 grams, with the battery included. The camera of the Huawei-Nova 3i has a 6.3 inch FHD + 2340 × 1080 display. The colours are not only sharp, but also has two colour modes to choose from. One of which is called Vivid while the other is Normal. Users may also customise the colour temperature to their preference or Default, Warm or Cold. Normal mode differs from Vivid mode such that it imparts a little less brightness than in Vivid and gives a with colour setting regardless of whether you have chosen the Warm temperature setting or not.

The battery of a Huawei Nova 3i takes 3.5 hours to charge from zero to hundred with its own charger. When charging, the smartphone heats up slightly. On a light usage, the battery will give backup for almost a full day and on moderate to heavy usage, the battery can last 8-9 hours.

As a mid-range model, the smartphone is definitely a balanced smartphone with premium functions and characteristics. In my opinion, the Huawei Nova 3i is a good buy if you are a light or moderate user but however if you are a heavy usage user, you might experience setbacks such as slow charging or battery drain during intensive gaming and multitasking. Overall, the functions of the Huawei Nova 3i is sufficient for any average user and is also within the 1k budget for a smartphone of a normal family household.
