Logitech Wireless Mouse M280

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M280 is a compact mouse with comfort in mind. Usually when companies try to make compact mice, they usually make it too small for people with larger hands which would be uncomfortable if used for long periods of time. However Logitech made this mouse just the right size for both travel purposes and comfortable usage.

Logitech said that the mouse has a battery life of 18 months depending on the user’s usage and would go to sleep when not in use to conserve battery life. It uses an AA battery so having one on standby would ensure that the mouse never runs out of battery. It comes with a nano receiver where all you have to do is plug it in one of your computer or laptop’s USB port and forget all about it afterwards. The mouse also comes with a small compartment to store the nano receiver if you want to store it after using. Of course, it is quite easy to lose the nano receiver due to its size and would cause inconvenience as the mouse would be practically useless without it.

This mouse is designed only for people who use their right hand and not left as the left side of the device comes with a natural curve and soft rubber grips for the comfort of your hand. The mouse also works on almost every surface other than glass and works at long distances up to around 25 metres. It comes in 3 different colours, black, red and blue so you get to choose which colour suits your taste best.

In conclusion, this mouse would be great for both office work and playing mostly casual games. It is not too expensive as it only cost around S$32.00 at retail price. With the battery and comfortable design, users would not have much to complain about. Although it lacks the thumb button at the side, it is expected from simplistic mice like this. Thus, I would really recommend this mouse to people who are on a budget but still want a decent mouse for use.

Beats Studio Wireless

The Beats Studio Wireless is a great wireless headphone if you are looking to buy a new headphone. It comes in five different colours; red, blue, white, titanium and black. Despite being a premium headphone, it is made mostly out of plastic. The Studio Wireless comes with a cloth for cleaning, a cord if you want wired listening which sadly only comes in red, and a USB cable.

The headphone has a digital signal processor, three noise cancellation modes: adaptive, balanced and other. In the ‘other’ noise cancellation mode, you cannnot play your music as it is for blocking all noise when you want it to be in a quiet place.

The battery life for the Studio Wireless is at 12 hours and 20 hours for wireless and wired listening respectively. A five-light LED just below the power button shows the amount of battery left. For iOS users, connecting with Bluetooth will display a small battery gauge on your phone. This will be very useful as you need not take off the headphones to constantly check the battery left. The headphone can be folded up neatly and compactly to be kept easily in a small carrying case.

This headphone has a built in microphone for cell phone calls. One button on the headphone allows you to end or answer calls and change to different tracks. The volume control is just below the button.

However, if you are considering on buying this headphone, be prepared for its cost and costly repairs. This headphone costs US$379 and after about 6 months of using the headphones, some parts have to be replaced, which means paying more.

Withings Activité Pop

The Withings Activité Pop looks like a typical wristwatch. However, there is actually a fitness tech hidden in it. By connecting it to any mobile devices, it works just like a smart fitness tracker, and an affordable one at that. It currently now only works with iPhones and has limited functions. This is still most probably as stylish and convenient a fitness tracker can get.

Besides the fitness tech in the watch, there is also an accelerometer for step – counting. The device is also waterproof and connecting it using a mobile device via Bluetooth is possible. It also has a battery which does not require charging and is replaceable within 8 months.

With a sharp, unique and great design, this watch has a lot to offer. It has a band made of silicon and a mineral glass – domed analog watchface. Available in blue, black and white, this is eye – catching watch has a steel body and its minute and hour hands are painted.

The device currently doesn’t support Android yet even though the app, Withing Health Mate, runs on Android. Once the application is opened, syncing will start immediately. Like any other pedometer, the step – counting function works the same way but users would be able to see their daily progress from a secondary dial on the watch which ranges from 0 to 100. A unit of that is equal to 1000 steps. The dial will also reset to zero at midnight.

Another function that the Withings Activité Pop has its sleep tracking. It works automatically and syncs data with a relatively well accuracy. It measures the level of sleep, which is classified under deep, awake and light. However, it does not measure heart rate and lacks some functions which more advanced sleep – trackers have.

This unique fitness tracker has a lot of potential and there definitely will be similar products on the market in the future. It has an amazing design and is able to work as a basic fitness tracker while looking stylish at the same time.

DJI Spark

The five colours of the DJI Spark: Blue,Green,Red,White,Yellow.

The drone that I will be doing today is the DJI Spark. Its advantage is that it is light, has a very good camera, can sense obstacles and dodge it and has gesture controls. It is suitable for taking good pictures. But the gesture mode can only take pictures and it flies for a very short time.

The app is not very efficient , especially on phones with small screens and frustrates the user. In general, it a good camera in a small flying package.

With a affordable price of $468.49, like a efficient camera , you can get many good functions of this portable camera. At first, DJI Mavic Pro($999) with its features like the compact folding design, it went to the top ranking amongst the drones. But after the appearance of the Spark in may, everyone forgot the rest of the drones and only remembered this one.It has many features like the Mavic such as dual-band GPS and a visual positioning system to let it “float” 30 feet above the ground without falling.

For the Spark, there is a bundle for you to get a set of prop guards, extra props, batteries for only $699. You save $154, so why not get this bundle right? It comes in five colours- blue, green, red ,white ,yellow.

How do you operate it?Simple.

Just power on the blades of the Drone, put it in your hands and your face. facing the camera, tap twice of the power button. The camera scans your face.Simple as that.

I personally think this Drone is great for people who love flying objects, love to take pictures and people who likes cool and trending stuff. Basically, it has a great camera quality in a small package but it cannot hover in the air for long.

Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro

The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is one of the most anticipated laptops of the year. The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro won the popularity vote at the Digital Life Awards 2014. This laptop consists of more than 800 different aluminium and steel parts and has a new hinge which is not as bulky as the older versions.

The new Yoga 3 Pro is extremely thin. With the laptop lid closed, it is only 13mm thick. A typical ultrabook is 17mm thick. This laptop is very light considering the fact that it is a 13-inch laptop. It weighs 1.19kg. It can be carried around easily. The Yoga 3 Pro has an ultra-high resolution 3,200 x 1,800-pixel screen. It is an extremely bright screen with vivid colours and excellent viewing angles.

This laptop is also highly responsive to touch inputs. There is also an disadvantage for this laptop. The icons and text displayed are extremely tiny, and they are practically unusable. Therefore, Lenovo has to deliberately enlarge the font of the words and icons to their largest size.

The biggest issue is with its battery life as this laptop, with screen brightness and volume at its maximum, can only last 4 hours in a battery life test. In my opinion, this is a great laptop for usage. It is convenient however its price is $2,299 and its battery life is not so good. In my opinion, this laptop is a good all-rounder that I would recommend to consumers.
